On my way into work this morning, I walked past the lines of people waiting to attend the Gorsuch nomination hearing. I had an inspiring conversation, which helped me go to work and do my own piece.

From a Little Free Library (and Opportunity to Expand Awareness)
I am really enjoying the proliferation of “Little Free Libraries” in the neighborhood. I found Ann Petry’s “The Street” and then immediately put it back after reading it so that as many people as possible could read it. It is one of those books that makes an indelible imprint.

Morning Walk to Work
There is an unreality to the beauty of the Spring blossoms. If you look closely at the photograph, you can see how terribly dry is the ground. How long can trees blossom when in drought? If we fail to nourish the whole, beauty is much less likely to manifest.

Signs Around Town (and International Women’s Day)
In the window at Clothes Encounters–a woman-owned small business on Capitol Hill. I wasn’t feeling the need to bring anything new into my closet, but I went in to say how much I liked the sign. I enjoyed trying on a tourmaline necklace that looked like it came from India.

It is getting noticeably close to the equinox. Signs are proliferating around the neighborhood.
