Found Exhortation (and Some More Roses)




I was having an anxiety provoking type of morning. When I walked out to address one of the things that needed to be addressed, the trees reminded me to pay attention to beauty, while I was doing what needs to be done.
Today’s harvest somehow wanted to be shaped into a flaming heart. The pest control technician came for the quarterly visit. I gave him a sack of beans for him and his wife to have for dinner.
Whenever I see extensive plantings of tulips, it brings to mind the tulip mania of the 17th century Dutch. At the height of the mania, single bulbs could sell for several times the annual income of a skilled worker. Now, the tulip is just another beautiful flower. How could it ever have been the focus…
I would take this tea bag exhortation much farther than just for socializing. But that’s just me.
